Independent brewer BrewDog is now making hand sanitiser at its distillery in Aberdeenshire to address the shortages due to the coronavirus crisis. Branded as "punk sanitisers" and developed in cooperation with London design agency Uncommon Creative, who provided their help for free of charge, the bottles will be available at no cost to frontline and primary care providers - including nurseries, schools, care homes and medical centres.
The first batch was bottled on March 22nd, and was delivered to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary’s Intensive Care Unit.
Several independent gin producers across the UK are also moving towards producing hand sanitiser, including Verdant Spirits, Psychopomp Microdistillery and 58 Gin.
