New pack for Glenfiddich Grand for Chinese New Year

A new limited edition pack by GPA Luxury for Glenfiddich Grand combines traditional Chinese New Year imagery with a nod to the whisky's Scottish provenance.

GPA Luxury Packaging Solutions has collaborated with Glenfiddich Grand for Chinese New Year 2022 to manufacture a limited-edition packaging for their 21-Year-Old Gran Reserva. This special single malt, which is matured in Caribbean rum casks, is described as filling the nose with aromas of banana and toffee, and has a palate of ginger, oak and lime.

The pack crafted for this special whisky has the same structure as our presentation case for Glenfiddich Grand: a super-premium rigid board box with a rotating bottle compartment.

The entire pack is wrapped in premium white art paper, litho-printed with a "colourful, dreamlike" design by Chinese illustrator Rlon Wang. The design incorporates traditional Chinese New Year imagery, as well as a nod to Glenfiddich’s Scottish provenance, making it the "perfect encapsulation" of this project.

The front face of the pack features an embellished version of the Glenfiddich stag and gold foil highlights. A small gold ribbon attachment allows the user to pull back the front face and rotate the pack open, revealing the whisky within.

The opulence of the exterior is continued on the interior, with more illustrations printed along the paper lining of the bottle compartment. The bottle itself is held in place between two orange fitments, colour-matched to the shrink capsule on the whisky.
