VPI met a dual challenge with its new luxury brand product launch for Clarins UV Plus moisturiser. The packaging has been designed and manufactured using recycled materials bonded together using ultra-sound.

Whilst from an aesthetical perspective, the combined use of PET and recycled PET are set to offer the packaging increased clarity, one of the requests made by Clarins was to strike a harmony with the brand image. Pad printing for the brand name and pearled varnishing make the spherical design stand out with its screw-cap plastic tube offering a touch of elegance reminiscent of the brand.

Marc Beltrami, VPI Commercial Director, pointed out: “Our aim is to offer clients innovative and sustainable solutions in the beauty injection field and to bring added-value to their projects. A host of tests were performed to optimise the technique and create a remarkable capsule, which will be rolled-out for several references and sizes across the product line (30ml, 50ml)."
