The Italian pasta and bakery manufacturer plans to increase its 100% recyclable packaging range across Europe, with the goal to reduce plastic use by around 126 tons by the end of 2022

The rollout is set to come across Europe following a successful trial in the UK and will be implemented across a range of pasta products, according to ESM magazine.

The new, fully-recyclable Barilla Blue Box is reportedly made with virgin fibre to ensure high-quality and product safety. The packaging features instructions and visual aids that correspond to the appropriate recycling measures to ensure easy disposal.
